Yes, I'm a Twilight Nerd! But no, Slayer is not in the least bit influenced by it. I had the synopsis of the book written out before Twilight had even been published.

About the Author

I've been a published author from a very young age. In an attempt to get some of my short stories recognized in my hometown of Boerne, TX, I sent a manuscript to my local paper. When I received a call back, I was disappointed to find out that because it had not been previously published, they couldn't run it. However, the editor liked my writing style, and for several months, I wrote an article called 'Youth View.'

As exciting as this was in its own context, it was not the publication I desired. I've been writing short stories and standard-length novels since I was about six, starting with a 'biography' of my first dog, Goldie: a female golden retriever who died prematurely. Once I started elementary school, I started a series of fantasy stories for the group of children in the grade below me, where they starred. Once compiled (and rewritten more recently) it ran close to 70 pages, with the chapters consisting of each year that I'd written of.

In seventh grade, I started a new project, which would eventually turn into my largest work; the book titled 'SLAYER.' It was originally called 'The International Immortality League.' Since that point, it has been my most 'popular' work, as was determined by how many of my friends and teachers liked the idea.

I've started many minor projects on the side, though none as long or as extensive as the one stated above. A close third and fourth, however, are Caught Between Immortal Lust--a complicated love triangle concerning two immortals, Baylen and Lord Vendal, and a mortal girl, Alaina--and War of the Alliance, a Tolkien-esque novel that is more medieval and fantastical in nature than SLAYER.

I have a husky-golden-retriever mix named Bear, two orange tabbies and one black tabby named, respectively, Mikey, Tiger Lily, and Twilight.
